The goal of Village Law and Elder Services is to help seniors and their families deal with legal issues involved in aging and to provide those services with care and concern.

Services include:

  • Estate Planning – Designing  estate plans for individuals of all asset levels to ensure that their property goes to the people they want, that their healthcare wishes are honored, and that there is a plan for periods of incapacity.
  • Estate Administration – Handling the probate process, including estates of modest size.  
  • Review of existing estate documents
  • Notarial


Susan H. Berryman received her bachelors degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and her law degree from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University Bloomington Indiana. After law school she served as a staff attorney at the appellate courts of Ohio and Pennsylvania and law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. She also has more than 20 years of healthcare experience in the areas of regulatory and legal compliance. She is a member of the Chester County Bar Association and its Elder Law Section. Susan's home office is located in the peaceful village of Pughtown.
